National Committee

The National Committee

The National Committee (NC) is the upper administrative body of EYP Norway. It holds formal responsibility to the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research for the selection of Norwegian delegates to international sessions. It is also the point of contact for the administrative bodies of International EYP, mainly the Governing Body and the Board of National Committees.

The NC consists of 7 members, all of them with experience from international sessions. There are 3 teachers and 3 student alumni. The County Governor of Vest-Agder holds a seat on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Research. The NC controls an annual budget of NOK 380 000, almost all of which is spent on the annual national session and the subsidising of Norwegian delegations to international sessions.

The NC works in close cooperation with the Alumni Association in the day-to-day administration of EYP Norway and in organising the national sessions.
