To and from Trondheim
By plane:
There are several international flights to Trondheim Airport Værnes every day from all over Europe, including such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, Riga, Prague and Stockholm.
There are also domestic flights from Oslo Gardemoen (OSL), Rygge (RYG), Stavanger (SVG), Torp (TRF), Tromsø (TOS) and Bergen (BGO) among others.

By train:
‘Dovrebanen’ from Oslo to Trondheim includes some of the most beautiful landscapes in Norway, and bring you from city centre to city centre with walking distance to Trondheim Youth and Family Hostel.
As a student you are entitled to discount at NSB. With at valid student ID you will receive a 25 % discount. But when travelling with NSB Regionstog the limited Minipris- ticket will be a better value than the student discount. For more information about the different ticket types, please follow this link.
